Fire Ban Partially Rescinded in the Southeast Fire Centre

Effective noon Friday, Sept 18, Category 2 open fires (no larger than 3m wide x 2m high) will be permitted within the Arrow and Kootenay Lake Fire Zones of the Southeast Fire Centre due to a decreased risk of wildfires. Category 3 open fires (larger than 3m wide x 2m high) are still prohibited within the Southeast Fire Centre’s jurisdiction.

Please note that open fires within the Village of Kaslo boundaries are still limited to campfires no more than 0.5m wide x 0.5m high.
