Paid On Call Firefighters
What to Expect
- Weekly two hour training nights every Tuesday at 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
- Occasional full day training exercises during weekends that include practice burns.
- Be able to respond to calls at anytime of the day in any weather, when available.
Who Can Join
Anybody in the community who is 19 years or older that wants to make a difference. Our members have have a diverse background. What matters most is the desire to learn and help.
Where To Start
- Complete the RDCK volunteer fire fighter expression of interest form. And check out the RDCK recruitment video.
- You will be contacted for an interview.
- If accepted, you will be required to submit a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and medical clearance form signed by your family physician.
- Once all of the documentation is received, your training can begin!

Junior Fire Fighter Program
